Amelon Celebrates "Dr. Seuss's Birthday!"

In honor of “Read Across America Day” and Dr. Seuss’s birthday there will be a Book Character Parade!
Amelon Students, grades PK-5, are encouraged to dress like their favorite storybook character. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

Students may dress as any character from a story. Students should bring the book along with their costume.
*NO costumes with weapons!*

Monday, February 20, 2017 will be a make up instructional day for the inclement weather days that have been missed so far.

Community Event: Randolph College Presents

Our Poetry Jam! Science-based poetry competition is open now for all children K-12 grade.
Over $1000 in prizes will be awarded!
Teachers are encouraged to do this with your class, and can submit for the whole class.
Class or individual submissions are due FEB 17th!

· We are really excited to announce that our keynote speaker/performer this year will be Greg Kennedy – Innovative Juggler from Cirque du Solei among other things! Free and open to the public.

· Science Day registration for 3rd-6th graders is open now, limited to 400.
